An Open Heart
Moline, population five. Asleep in a treehouse and awakened by the morning sun peering over the encompassing cliffs, cleansed by the mountain river before entering our farm. A day starts with a dance of barefoot preparation, harvest and providing.
The family of five welcomed me with an open heart and what was theirs became my reality. Present in love through the union of family, earth and human. Lifetimes of learned hard work, patience and kindness shown through their unreserved nature to strangers and desire to provide for one another. Moline does not feel like a town or place but rather an action of firm engagement in life.
